MULTI APPLICATION CRITICAL CONTROLLER
Through the COCIMA project "Contrôleur Critique Intégré Multi-Application", Thales Canada’s proposition is to develop a prototype controller capable of hosting several stemming applications from the aircraft systems on the same computer. In order to allow its certification, this development will follow (RTCA DO-297) strict rules. For the non-avionics systems equipment, this innovative controller will reduce by 64% the aircraft on-board embedded electronics.

A SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH
To successfully execute this project, Thales Canada collaborates with Bombardier to define the architecture which will allow implementing the new computer in the aircraft of the future. The design of the architecture is based on the CAPELLA system modelling tools. From this architecture, Thales Canada will define a prototype specification thatallows its development by a SME located in Quebec. In parallel, Thales Canada is working on innovative mockups technologies allowing high versatility in the processing of analog interfaces and minimizing the necessary surface. The interfaces mockups will be tested in severes environments to validate their robustness.
